Still Can't Figure Out Sunrise/Sunset

I'm using the default Slider skin in the newest version. I edited the registry to add the latitude and longitude settings for Minneapolis, MN at:

Lat: -93.264
Long: 44.980

These settings now show in the Config.exe program. However, my sunrise and sunset settings are at 06:00 and 06:00. They should be at 7:50 and 4:38 approximately. What additional changes are needed?

Also, am I correct in assuming that the elevation reading is the postion of the sun at the last update time?

Lastly, I'm assuming that the sunrise and sunset readings are for the home location only and that additional latitude and longitude settings cannot be entered for additional weather locations?

Thanks.

I think you have them the wrong way round  :D

Minneapolis is Lat 44.980 & Long -93.264

Your other questions: (i) the elevation is the angle of the sun, and is calculated (and constantly changed) by TP - so, if you cycle from one city to the next, then back again (even without a refresh) you'll see that the elevation changes (TP knows that the earth is always rotating!). (ii) You can enter additional lat/long for other cities - see my post at:

Scotty,

Thanks. That was the problem. I guess I should stay away from this wheelbarrel if I don't know how to operate it!

Bob:

No worries - that's what the forum's here for.  :D

I've been on a bunch of fora over the years, and this one is (IMHO) particularly good. The folks are very helpful, & I've learned a lot from reading the various posts.

All the best

EDIT:  Ok - I've added '38.6580' for my Lat and '77.2500' for my Long, but I can't seem to save the values.  The next time I enter Owner Info via config.exe, the fields are empty.  How do I save the data?

EDIT2:  After inputting the values approx. 237 times, the lat & long finally saved.  Is there a better way to commit the config.exe changes other then exiting the application?  There are no 'SAVE' buttons on most of the tabs, and the 'Reload Plug-in' on the initial config.exe page doesn't seem to help.

You will have to edit the registry, in order to enter your settings. Create an entry with the name 1 and the data will be. 38.6580,77.2500 then save the entry. Any registry editor will work. I use PHM registry editor which is freeware.
