Also, in his initial responses to concerns (delicate, indelicate, and otherwise), he stated clearly (albeit sometimes intemperately) his intention to continue with a free and better version of this program.

Are these observations in error? If not, relax!

Well I hope your right, regardless of whether TP continues its at least nice to know that he hasn't died or been party to a serious accident. This is one of the things you can never be sure about when regulars disappear from forums and I'd hate to think that whilst some people were bashing him something nasty had befallen him.

really thats news to me, If he contacted me i would have posted it here. I have his personal email, but he never responded.

I am sorry, but there hasn't been a post by srs since January 7.  Here is a search.  I believe the post you are referring was by Broesel and included a quote from srs he made in this post (BTW, this was the last post by srs).

If srs wants to be available he would, all we can do now is wait and see if he wants to continue the project.  I have many hours invested in this program, and would hate to see it go the way of the horse and buggy, but I would have to make other arrangements if necessary.
 
  Remember!  That srs has no obligation to continue this application, other than the fact that if he drops TodayPlus, it effects many people like you and me. I think if he wants to back off the development, he should at least leave us with a working version of the application.

Trust me if srs was going to respond to some one it defintly woudnt be me. you would know this if you kept up with the posts here. and if he did you dont' think he would respond to other poeple like eitel the owner of the site. come on use you'r brain. and who the hell is dgmele and how in the world would he know.

There's no mystery here.  Scroll up 3 posts and you'll see that Jim identified the source of the confusion.  Broesel was simply quoting a (very old) post from srs which dgmele misunderstood... see Jim's post for links.  Thanks for clarifying, Jim
