I have renamed the analogue file i want to use and put it in the \images\hammerskin folder, I have no folder 0 & 1......Looking at the time section the digital clock shows with an analogue button at the bottom, when i press it the new clock image i installed shows up, but after a reset it defaults back to the digital version.....I also have the same problem with the weather icons, they default after a reset to the original weather icons not the stardock ones....

You need to change the code in the skin.  I assumed you use Hammerskin1.04aEng.  Here the steps to change "Analogue clock" as default in world time section.

1)   Open Hammerskin in NotePad.
2)   Edit-->Find and copy this code in the "Find what" window,

     imagebutton,211,119,zeitbutton.png,tr,11,4,0,1

3)  Change to imagebutton,211,119,zeitbutton.png,tr,11,4,1,1

4)   Save the skin and loaded into your your device.


To change stardock as default weather icon.

1)  Open Hammerskin and use Find command to find

    initvar,var10,2

2)  Change to initvar,var10,1

3) save and reload

It is correctly no worry, I haven't checked it at the device but have read it like me answers.

Guys, I am struggling a bit with Apps 6......So far I have got the following Shortcuts added

Suspend
Battery
memory
memory
memory-card

That is all so far, I have a Dell Axim X3i with a file-store and a SD Slot. My file store is roughly 32MB & my SD card is 512MB....There is no CF Card Slot in this device....Can someone help me setup what shortcuts I should have and in what order?? I also don't know how to find out the name of my file-store.....Any help would be appreciated...

Even you don't have CF card, you still have to leave that spot empty.  Otherwise the order will be screwed up.  There is a screen shot in that post, Wichtel explained very details how to set it up.  The key is to set-up "exact" number and position in apps6.  If you do follow the instruction and still have problem, it would be better to post a screenshot of "shortcut" in configure file.  We could help you here.

I am obviously being stupid here...Under the Time/Storage config page in Todayplus config app there currently is nothing, when I try to add a shortcut to the file store according to the PPC it is named "Built-in Storage" I get an error and it doesnt add it, but I can add my SD Card ok, but obviously th shortcuts are out of sequence......Not sure what to do here.....I am not sure how to post screenshots so I cant let u see how I have it so far.....

Since I don't have the exact device you are using, I really don't know where the problem might be.  However, if you keep the first one empty and put the SD Card as the second one and again the third one empty, then try to see it will work in the skin.  At least you get SD Card.  

I think there is free application for you to capture your screen.  There is one built in iPAQ, is there anyone in your device?  Once you get an image, you better to open it up and save as png.  You should be able to attach it in your reply.

Hi, I have attached 2 screenshots of the settings pages in question. All the shortcuts seem to end in file extension .ink as per the download from the site in the apps 6 zip file.

Basically my storage locations as the device reports are the standard device storage, built-in storage(File Store) & a 512MB SD Card.....

  Your apps6 looks fine to me.  Just make sure it is "6th" group.
  I don't see anything in your storage paths.  I will use my iPAQ as an example.

1)  Tap "Add New" under the Storage Paths.

2) Select your build-in storage (it is iPAQ File Store in my case), then hit ok.  You should see it shows up in the window.  In case, you still fail to select it, try to select "/Windows" then continue the set-up.

3) Tap new again and select your SD card (Storage Card, in my device).

You still will see the CF card in the system section.  This can be removed by comment the codes from the skin.  Let me know if you need help to do that.

Can you be more specific?  What skin you ae using?  And why do you think it did not work for you?  A screenshot might be very helpful.

Uk Skinner, Thanks very much for the help....all the memory shortcuts are now working.....Couple of more questions if u don't mind please:-

1) The the yellow bar below the memory bar on the front screen, i believe links to the backlight shortcuts in Apps 6....I have it positioned in the correct place in the shortcut config screen....What is this actually supposed to do? It doesnt seem to do anything on my PDA other than turn red when u click on it.....

2) You mentioned updated the skin to exclude the CF Card, how do I do that & if I do, will it affect the sequence of shortcuts in the config page....

3) I have a task related question, I have 5 tasks in my task list in Pocket Informant, but only one of them is showing in the hammerskin task section....I have investigated this & assume its because the 4 that aren't showing have completion dates for a few days ago, but I haven't completed them yet, is there a way to configure todayplus to still show them on my list?
