Thx, Wichtel, you are great!!!! I read the post, and made some progress. I can get a radar image for the whole U.S. now, but the website (http://image.weather.com/images)     seems to be down all the time. I type in my zipcode but cannot get any images from the site. Maybe I should wait and try later. Do we have to use this website?

Also, there are still some German in the skin. I can change that into English myself, but I need to know the meaning of the following words:

1. sicht   (wind?)
2. Serverdaten vom

Here's how I get my radar images from weather.com:

1. Go to www.weather.com
2. Enter your zip code at the top of the page (Local Weather input box)
3. A new weather page opens for your city.  
4. Scroll down a ways, and you'll see your local radar.  Right click on the image and click on "properties."
5. Copy and paste the url listed in the properties window to your radar.txt file.  The url should look something like this:

http://image.weather.com/web/radar/us_dsm_closeradar_medium_usen.jpg

6. The images on the main city pages are too big for my device (QVGA), so I modify the url to point to a smaller image.  Through some experimenting (not a lot required as you'll see below ), I found the url of the image I needed.  For example, I change:

image.weather.com/web/radar/us_dsm_closeradar_medium_usen.jpg

to

image.weather.com/web/radar/us_dsm_closeradar_small_usen.jpg

Works great for me.  Hope this helps!

Also, you don't have to use weather.com exclusively - there are others out there. One option is accuweather.com.  They have a special section of their site set up just for weather data on pda's.  

1. Go to pda.accuweather.com
2. Click on the "Choose New Location" link towards the bottom.
3. Enter your zip code.  A new window opens with your city's weather.
4. Click on the "My Satellite" or "My Radar" links towards the bottom. A new window opens with the image.
5. Right click on the image and choose "Properties."
6. Copy and paste the url in the properties window into your radar.txt file.
7. These images are already small enough for my PPC, and work well as is.

DeftOne, thx for the help. I did what you said, and it worked out beautifully. A small question: the update bar at the bottom of the radar screen doesn't seem to work. I have to run the radar.exe every time I want to update the radar images. I must be doing something wrong. The radar & radar1 folders are in the "Images" folder, and the radar.exe and radar.txt are both in the radar folder. Any ideas?

You have to add Radar.exe as a shortcut in Group 7, Slot 1 (apps-7-1) in the TD+ Config.  There's a brief reference to this in the Instruction.txt file that is bundled with Hammerskin, although it does not give full instructions.  I had to examine the skin file to figure out where to put the shortcut.

1. Open TD+ Config.exe
2. Go to Shortcut tab
3. Make sure there are at least 7 groups defined in the Shortcut - Groups window at the top, and highlight the 7th group.
4. In the Shortcuts window below, click on Add New and add Radar.exe as the first shortcut.

When you click on the update button on the weather page, the radar page, or the main page, it should now run Radar.exe and download your radar images.

I feel like I'm dropping too many questions, I hope I'm not annoying you.
There's still something wrong with the mainpage. I added a heading for Agendar, but it is overlaping with the news ticker. I'll post it and ask for help in the general help & support area.

I am looking for the code to put a flagge   on my Today Page.  I figure out the x/y coordinates but don't know how to get the image (60x30 png file) out of the Hammerskin1 image folder.

Put the picture in both Hammerskin and Hammerskin1 and you won't get a problem ?

the command is image,x,y,image.png[,t if it is transparent]

I was going to try and hold down my Today Page to a minimum, but with all the help I have received this has become more fun than watching a monkey make love to a football!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I think I'm just about ready to tackle the radar page, well maybe I had better read some more about it first.

Let me say this is quite an attractive theme.  

I've have installed the Todayplus and WA2 in my IPAQ File Store and upon rebooting, my today screen can only display the top left corner of the whole screen.

I've copied the necessary files for the WA2 and todayplus folder as
indicated here and selecting the  Hammerskin 1.05.6.b VGA Eng.txt in the Config.exe.

I'm currently using a HX4700.

Any advise?

Hi,

I am having a problem with the the Radar City page. The only thing at the bottom of the radar image is the text "Update" and "City". The buttons are all missing for the 8 way navigation, menu, indicator selection and next image arrow buttons.

The Radar and Satellite Album page is working correctly showing all the navigation buttons as well as color selector for indicator chage. So I am baffled why the city radar page is not functioning correctly.


I have tried to install the skin over and over and it doesn't help.

UPDATE:

OK I figured out what went wrong the image buttons where gone from the radar folder somehow. I didn't realize that the images where stored in two different places ...I just assumed the button images where being accessed identically in the same folder which is why I got confused.
Everything is working now.
