Removing blank lines from agenda

Using Hammerskin VGA, I'm tweaking it as usual!  

I'd like to get more out of the agenda so it fills the area where the RSS was, but also so that the date is not used and is on the same line as the item.

In other words, how on the capture would I get rid of the blank lines (I've been unable to work it out from the skin reference?

Unfortunately this didn't help.

The blank lines arose from me removing the lines that put in the dates at the top of each collection of things for that day.

Some part of the code must be telling it that that is there, but I don't know which...
