Need translation from english native

I'm translating the forecast file and I consider myself to have a pretty good level of spoken/written english, but even after trying some web translators, I couldn't find a proper meaning to these two words (related to weather forecast)
- flurries
- wintry

Can anyone help?

I'll have a stab.

Flurries are generally short, windy bouts of snow.
Wintry generally cold, windy, snowy conditions.  As in, like winter.

Sleet is very cold, almost frozen rain.  It's not frozen enough to bounce off or be brushed off, but it's cold enough to be thoroughly uncomfortable.  You have probably never seen it in Portugal.

I'm happy to be your expert on horrible weather... I've seen enough of it.

We do have some pretty bad conditions sometimes during winter, but usually, the winter is quite "normal" (some rain, cold, but not too bad or too long)
