Hi Everybody:

I recently tried to use the rss movie feeds for listings and it did not work. Has anybody else have it working, please help?

Thanks.

There was a change in the way the source allowed transfer of information, and the script we had no longer works. The author of the script was working on a fix but came up dry. I miss having it too.

Does anyone know of a replacement for the movie rss feed?

I stopped visiting this board, so I never uploaded the updated script. I'll send it when I get home.

Here's the script.  It uses moviefone.com, so pick your theaters that way.

I stopped visiting because I stopped using T+.  I've learned to live without it.

Would you please post instructions for use of script. Is this the script that if hosted on one computer many different people can get there local movie times.

Here's a step by step:

1.  Go to www.moviefone.com and find the theaters you want.
2.  Note the theater id at the end of the URL.
3.  Add the script to your RSS feed using "listings_rss.php?theater1=id1&theater2=id2... etc."
4.  That's it.

See this.  Specifically:
QuoteThe recovery of the forum went smoothly with one exception; the link between all posts and attachments was broken during its recovery... I do still have a backup copy of all the old attachments, fill free to ask me about any specific attachments you would like recovered. I will try my best to accommodate all requests, time permitting.

I went through the "file" back-up, I think I got the right one and reattached it.

I tried this.  I've edited the script for my local theaters. However, I dont understand how I can 'add the script to my RSS feed' as show above.  I'm assuming this is a sting that I put in my URL text box.  Is this correct?  I'm afraid this old man needs a little more detailed instructions.     I hope you can help me.

I guess I'm with Geezer on this one !!
I see that you can edit the script in notepad, and add your local movie theaters / times etc..
After that, where do you put the script file, and how do you code it into the TP skin ??  :?:

I'd like to use this..   Any Ideas ??

Try this from your browser:

http://24.34.11.59/listings_rss.php?theater1=2022&theater2=2023&theater3=2058

I you get something back, then follow MadTxn's directions to add to T+.

If you get that to work, I'll explain what you did.

Good Luck,
Ed
