Thanks to eemond (King of PHP script), not only once but twice.  I only will announce this one and let ZapMe1 does the other one.

@Uk_skinner, @Zapme1, @Eemond and @Jhollin1138,
(hope, not to forget other members...)

Thank you all very much for this new feature! I've tested it for two Dutch cities, one Irish city, one French city and one German city.

Conclusion:
this feature works very accurate and very up-to-date.  No problems met!!!

Thank you all!!!

PS
Question 1: does anybody knows what CET in '10:25 PM CET" means?
Question 2: this is a stupid question, but nevertheless I'm very curious about what the people in this thread have made, or have done to let this be succesfully. Is there a member who will give his time to explain this in very simple words for me?!? Would be very appreciated!!!

Timmy:
  Your questions were too "small" in terms of the size of the font.

I will guess "Central Europe Time" (GMT +1).

Were you asking how the PHP-script can extract the weather information?

The Yahoo weather page you read on the browers can be download as a text file.  Just go to "File" saved as ".txt".  When you open this text file under Notepad or Word, you can see all the html, or javascript codes in it.  The weather information you saw were "hidden" in there.  eemond used the PHP language to look for the Key words before and after the weather information.  For example, if you search "Currently" in the text, you will find the condition of Today is not far below.  By viewing the text, the information we wish can be "extracted" out.  That is the reason, this is really site-specific and can not be used in other language.

Once you get them out and you can arrange them into the RSS format or to put it into city.txt.  They all just different text format.

Hopefully, this is helpful.

  The PHP sript looks for English key word, so it will not be able to extract the forecast from German yahoo site.

Sorry, I didn't make me clear, it should only be a possible url to get
weatherinformation into city.txt.  I know, it doesn't work yet. But take
your time, to test all things you need ......

  Is this a good one to get the weather information out? http://www.wetteronline.de/cgi-bin/citytext?SID=10033e11c8f14a386f12a19cf5ea43000e257&WMO=10033&LANG=de&PROVIDER=anwendung
There were only 3 days forecast.  Where I can find the current weather information from wetteronline.de?

Uk_skinner,

Thanks for your patience! And thanks for your answers!

Answer 1: Of course...   :oops:  :oops:  :oops:
Answer 2: I understand it! But can you be more clear about the things eemond have done? Did he make the right rss-possibilities on this forum-url? Or did he make radar.exe ready for doing this things? I'm curious to know what happened in the background.

Thanks,
Timmy

´

Well, I took a closer look at the site, unfortunally the informations we
need are spreaded over several small other links and it seems, that we
can't get weathertextes for more then three days (for the other days
only symbols) so I think, I will look, if I find another url, that gives us
the values we need. Thanks for your affort until now.

broesel & nas:

   So far, I have not figure out a way to download the information as text from de.w3.weather.com.  As far as to extract the information from multiple url, I think it is possible, at least using my "fat exe".  Give me the links and what information you wish to extract.  If you could, please give me both German and English name. :oops:  :lol:

Gefühlte Temp. 2°C - feels like

Uk_skinner,

Is this URL to catch with one of your nice big fat .exe's ?!? :D

http://www.knmi.nl/voorl/weer/reindex.html?meerdaagse.html
Zonneschijn (%) --> Sunshine (%)
Neerslagkans (%) --> Precipation (%)
Neerslaghoeveelheid (mm)  -->  Rainfall (mm)
Windkracht (bft)  --> Windspeed (Bft)

If the answer is yes, I like to have them in my registry, and not in the 'rss-feed-solution'.

Broesel:

  Sorry I did not make it clear.
  Both, in short answer.  They can be done seperately.  The new information, such as details forecast or extra day forecast (6 - 10 day) probably need to be put in either RSS format or registry key.  Although, I would like to try the idea to put extra day forecast into city.txt to see TP can go beyond 5 days data.  The current information provided by MSNBC can be replaced the ones from other weather server.
  What I am trying to say is the "extraction process" can be applied to any text file from weather servers and output can go into 3 : city.txt, rss or regsitry keys.  The TP weather codes can call the information from city.txt and RSS codes can help use to deal with the text-rich information and registry key allow us to get number into var or simple text.

 At this moment, I can work with the information from wetteronline.

Yes, you are lucky.  Looks like I can download them as text.
Some of them are not numbers, and also there is "0-2" probably need go to "text" in regsitry key.

Uk_skinner,

That's good news! If you realy can fix this, than I only need:
Zonneschijn (%) --> Sunshine (%)
Neerslagkans (%) --> Precipation (%)
Neerslaghoeveelheid (mm)  -->  Rainfall (mm)
Windkracht (bft)  --> Windspeed (Bft)

For me, it can be put as text in the registry. For instance as Sun-01, Sun-02, Sun-03, Sun-04 and Sun-05. It's easy to put this text from the registry to the desired place of the screen.

Would be nice if you realy can do this!

Thanks!
