TodayPlus screen disappeared

Last night my today plus screen and the skin I have been using totally disappearsd and I cant get it back. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the latest version and use all defaults but it still does not show up. I can get all the regular today stuff to show but when I check to use today plus I just get a blank screen. I am using an ipaq 2115 with windows2k3. Any idea's on how to get this back? I have used it for months and have not made any changes to anything in weeks. Very bummed it's gone!

Same problem here, since this afternoon the screen just went blank. When I start it manually it appears, but the background theme disappears. When I reset the device, nothing but a blank screen.

I'm using 0.9.8 version with a iPAQ 2210.

Somebody any idea?

Is the config still see your skin file? Is the Base Path still set toTodayPlus?

This seems to be a problem with older versions of the program. version .11 works fine. You guys might want to upgrade to the newest version.

Blazing Wolf that is a pretty blanket statement.. do you know why this is happening...? I to have the same problem, and it happened this morning. Not that I have even looked at Today Plus... nor made any software changes... so it does seem very strange.

I did just try to load version 0.11 overtop and there are no changes. Today Plus is still not working.

I just loaded in version 0.11 and I don't seem to be able to get it up and running either. I guess I will have to read to see what is new since 0.98

No I don't know why it is not working  . I do know that version .11 works. My wife's Dell had the older version .9.8  if I remember correctly. Today it stopped working. I loaded version .11.1 on it and it works fine. Looking at the skins and config.txt files nothing jumps out that would cause this type of problem. So I think (I am not posistive) that it is in the hard coded portion of the program.

As for loading version .11 over .9.8 I don't think you should do this. With the amount of changes that have been made to TodayPlus I think your best bet would be to uninstall the older version and reinstall the new version. There is a huge difference in how the config works and it might conflict with the earlier version.

As for you not getting version.11 working I would be more than happy to help you get it fixed. Let me know what you have done and we will see what can be done to get it running.

There appears to be a really "nasty" bug in Today Plus regarding the new year (in particular system dates from 1/1/04 on) .

Blazingwolf, I have the exact same setup as you - a 3955/wm 2003, CF & SD.  I was running TP v.10.2 up until today because I was using the perfect skin for me, which  LordTwisted designed.  I was trying to wait until he updated it for v.11, but this morning - blank screen.  When I ran the TP exe from the TodayPlus program file, it looked fine, but it would not display on my today screen.  I tried removing and reloading, but nothing I did would make it work.  I guess there must be some kind of 'date' bug in the hard-coded portion of the program.  Anyway, I have been forced to upgrade to version 11 prematurely.  I am trying to get all the functions of LT's skin to work (the slide show definitely won't - there's no place in the config exe to define the variables for the pictures).  My question to you is - my SD and CF cards do not display correctly.  The config exe has you define their path from the root directory, so I've chosen "Storage Card" and "Storage Card2", but they don't display the the proper information and none of the 'links' work.  Have you run into this problem as well?   If so, please let me know how you fixed this.  Thanks. You need to make a few changes in the skin file. This is the old version of the skin region 9(this small section is for the SD card):

I have bolded the specific spots that should be changed. You can do the same thing for stoaragepath2 and 3 and so on. Also in the cofig .exe under storage you need put in your SD card first, then Ipaq file store and then CF card. This should get you what you want. If you need more help just ask.

 I will defintly post it this weekend i just don't have the time to packege it up right now. version 11 is done. i am working on version 12. And everything works in the skin plus about 5 extras.

BW - thank you for the advice.  My SD card now shows the correct info.  I changed storage,storagepath2 to storage,2, but that didn't seem to work for the CF card.  I guess I will have to wait for LT's updated skin.  Thanks for your help!  Dori

Thanks, Blazingwolf for the offer, I remember it taking me a few nights to put my last skin together the way I wanted it and I may take you up on your offer of assistance.

I had been deliberately staying away from the forum until the final details were hammered out for the new version of Today Plus. With all the changes I didn't want to do to much skinning only for it not to work on the lastest release.

If version 0.11 or 0.12 is going to be the final release then maybe its time to review the new format.

I was using 10.2 in my ipaq 2210 previously, as my today screen went blank after 2004, I "hard reset" my ipaq and reinstall ver.11 but still not working fine (even though i change my system clock back to 2003)..

I have read some of your posts and wonder that is it related to ipaq2210 only for the ver.11? Can anyone help me on this? Please!!!!!

Same problem here too with a 2210.

Previously using v0.10.1, worked until I did a soft-reset on Jan 01.

Just tried an uninstall and installed v0.11.0, no luck.

Exactly the same symptoms as above.

Hi Iain,

Just solved by installing the new ver0.11.0.. Please make sure you have already installed the .net framework and then, in config.exe, choose your skin file (eg. slider.txt), then make a restart..
