TodayPlus screen disappeared

Just tried uninstalling and reinstalling .net & todayplus and it seems to work - hurrah!

My problem now is that I can't get the weather to update. Newsfeeds are fine - strange...

Please check in the config file and see if your city selections are there, if not add them.

BW - thank you for the advice.  My SD card now shows the correct info.  I changed storage,storagepath2 to storage,2, but that didn't seem to work for the CF card.  I guess I will have to wait for LT's updated skin.  Thanks for your help!  Dori

Storagepath2 is for the Ipaq file store. You will need to change storagepath3 to get the cf portion working. Here is the section I am refering to (still in region 9):

Also make sure that your cf card is listed 3rd in the config file. Let me know if you get it working or not.

TodayPlus definitely disappeared after 12/31/2003.  Maybe SRS intended the program to become commercial by that date?

I am running v0.9.8 with a customized Logika Complete Skin on an HP Jornada 568.

Okay, I followed the advice on this forum to upgrade to v11.  Not too bad.  After I spent the whole morning revising the Complete Skin to my liking, I find that T+ now consistently disappears after a soft reset.  I have to rerun the config.exe (press Reload button) then it comes back.

Anyone else having this problem?

I figured out why (the T+ screen disappearing on reset even in v11).  If your base path is on a memory card, this will happen.  If you move it back to main memory, problem does not happen again.

I have version 0.11.0 loaded where everything except the dll and exe are on an SD card and do not see this issue.

pli7:  I've got the same issue, and I'm running everything in the default (main memory) locations.  I had removed 0.10.1 and loaded 0.11.0 as per the instructions here; I think there'll be more I'll like about it, but I have remove some of the bulkiness of it and make it more like 0.10.2 (quick launch bar looks bulky, remove icons from status bar, etc.).

I love your program, and I realize that it's a BETA and you can make it do whatever you feel is appropriate, but I am disappointed that earlier versions become crippled after 1/1/04.  I was using 0.9.8 because I liked the way it operated and I customized the skin extensively myself.  I am not a programmer nor professional skinner, so while my changes may seem modest to some, they were extensive to me.  Now I'm told I have to upgrade to a version I don't care for and attempt to do all that work again.

For those of us who want to keep our previous versions, would you consider re-releasing the older versions again without the internal expiration?

That's a great idea.  I think version 0.11.0 is generally pretty good, but I had a bunch of work to do to make it like I had things in 0.10.1.  The CONFIG.EXE is excellent progress, and it'll be great to have a similar configuration program to design skins as well, even if it wasn't as advanced as people can get by hacking the text file.  Keep up the great work, SRS!

May I ask the reason for having the beta's expire...? Is there an ulitimate plan to make this into commercial software...? I think it is a fair question considering the time that all of us are investing in the software...

If the exiration was not mentioned when released,
at the very least,
this little detail should be added when a newer version is released.

It just isn't nice when you don't tell users of the previous versions
what's coming up ahead
